From their acclaimed 2021 album, Lost in the Cedar Wood, Johnny Flynn and Robert Macfarlane’s song Ferryman is a timeless story of a journey into eternity, solitude and the mystery of nature.
Seedlings’s collaboration with Johnny Flynn and Robert Macfarlane ends our first year on such an exciting high.
Ferryman is printed on freckled Hahnemuhle stock, typeset in Baskerville 18 with a scattering of historic printing ornaments. The border was designed by Corran Green, with little lost boats rocking in a wild sea. It was produced by Lyme Bay press and the whole print was undertaken by Seedlings over a week in November 2024.
We are selling 100 copies, with Johnny Flynn and Robert Macfarlane’s share going to the Migrant Offshore Aid station, supporting vulnerable migrant communities. Seedlings share of the profit will support our work with grassroots artists and craftspeople.
Limited edition of 140, measuring 340×340mm.
